There are photographers who chase the news, and there are photographers who live on the road the news happens on. The second kind have a different archive. They were already there when the helicopter went down off Blacksod, when the pilgrims came up the mountain in the rain, when the man with the flag stood on the terrace and would not sit down until the final whistle.
This portfolio is a working selection from that archive. It carries on under commission and out of habit. The light here keeps changing. So does the work.
